The Abrahamic Tradition
I am an Oregon Democrat that's been supporting John McCain all along, despite my distaste of GWB.
The question is: Why has it taken the cross-over Democrats so long to see the light? CLICK
Please, all you Democrats that are crossing over right now from Hillary Clinton's Campaign...get out there and convince more of your friends to join McCain and not to be blinded by party loyalty.
Support the man.
Support the experience. Support a known track record. Support what you
can trust. Support what you know. Support America's Veterans. Support a
known case history of patriotism...the list goes on and on in favor of John McCain.
Just because a man has a brown face and a smooth voice does not mean
that he champions the values and traditions that got him to where he is
today.
This is the dangerous thing about Obama and the irony is that he is doing what he's done in the name of those who did champion those values and traditions that men like John McCain
have sacrificed and demonstrated patriotism for all of their lives - as
short as some of their lives were: men like Martin Luther King, Jr.,
Robert Kennedy, John Kennedy, Abraham Lincoln and every other martyr
and veteran that has died, fought or sacrificed for his country so men
like Obama could have
the freedom of choice and speech that got them to where they are
today...even if that freedom has been the choice NOT to serve or risk
their life for those liberties they enjoy.
Don't you think that it is a lot 'safer' to trust in a man who has put
his life out on a limb for those values and principles we cherish?
Why put your trust or faith in a man who has not demonstrated that he
has ever been willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for his country, yet expects his country to continue to give him everything?
And why do that during a time of war?
Frankly, I don't know what the Democrats were thinking about in the first place when they decided to run someone like Obama.
They certainly weren't thinking about the certainty of 'patriotism'
that one thinks about when it comes to supporting a true agent of our
freedom like John McCain.
It seems to me that Obama never was impressed enough with his father's military experience to carry on the tradition in his own life.
I did. Senator McCain
did. My father did. His father did. McCain's sons are doing it and my
8-year old son has a play army suit of his own that he insisted on
getting after seeing a photo of me as a GI in Viet Nam.
Yet, Obama is always talking about his father's patriotism.
What about his patriotism?
Men don't offer up their sons because they want them dead, but when
they do offer them up it does demonstrate a higher loyalty that can
even attract the tender mercies of God.
Isn't this what every nation needs?
Democrats WAKE UP!
