Energy Independence

Assign Cheney as energy chairman and have him pick twp Republicans, two Democrates, and one oil man.  Give them the power to cut govermental red tape, and give them the job of making us energy independent within three years.  Most speculation is for at least a minimum of three years, and Oil producing countries would see that we are serious and start pumping more oil.  Gas cost would imediately go down, and without government interference we would be energy independant within the three years, and well on our way to developing alternate sources for when we run out of oil.
